We believe listening to Tamil radio should never require creating an account, sharing personal information, or being tracked. Your privacy is not a feature — it's a promise.
01 Information Stored On Your Device
The app saves the following locally on your phone, using your device's standard app storage. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Your selected theme and app preferences.
- Your favourited radio stations.
- Your recently played stations.
You can clear this information at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.
02 Radio Stations
When you select a station, the app connects your device directly to that station's public internet stream so you can listen. These streams are operated by third parties. We do not control them, and any data practices of the broadcasters or stream hosts are governed by their own policies.
03 Tune AI Feature
TuneKadal includes "Tune AI", an optional in-app assistant that suggests radio stations. When you send a message to Tune AI, the text of that message is processed by a third-party AI service to generate a reply. The message text is used only to produce that response. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in Tune AI messages.
04 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require or offer account registration or login.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.
- We do not use advertising or advertising identifiers.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
05 Permissions
The app requests only the permissions needed to play live radio: internet access, and the ability to keep audio playing in the background and on the lock screen. It does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, or location.
06 Children
TuneKadal is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
07 Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves — for example, if optional accounts or premium features are added in a future version. When that happens, the "Last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be reflected here before the new features go live.
